Gingerbread Men
Ingredients
| 3 cups | flour |
| 2 tsp | ground ginger |
| 1 tsp | ground cinnamon |
| 1 tsp | baking soda |
| 0.25 tsp | ground nutmeg |
| 0.25 tsp | salt |
| 0.75 cup | butter (softened) |
| 0.75 cup | brown sugar |
| 0.5 cup | molasses |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
Steps
1) Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt and set aside
2) Mix butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy
3) Add molasses, egg, and vanilla and mix well
4) Gradually mix in flour mixture
5) Press dough into thick flat round disk and refrigerate 4 hours to overnight
6) Roll out dough to 1/4 thickness and cut using 5 inch gingerbread man cutter
7) Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet
8) Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes until edges set and just begin to brown
9) Cool on cookie sheet and decorate
10) Store in air tight container up to 5 days
